About Optic Labs — Australian Research Peptide Supplier

Last updated: May 2026

Who we are

Optic Labs is an Australian research peptide supplier based in Sydney, New South Wales. We supply research-grade peptides to laboratories, independent researchers, and qualified buyers across Australia. Every product we list is sold strictly for in-vitro and laboratory research use only — not for human or animal consumption.

We started Optic Labs because the Australian research community deserved a domestic supplier that takes purity, traceability, and compliance seriously. Buying research compounds from overseas means long lead times, customs uncertainty, no recourse if something goes wrong, and frequent doubts about what's actually in the vial. We exist to remove that friction for Australian researchers — with stock held in Australia, dispatched from Sydney, and tested by an independent laboratory before it reaches you.

Third-party HPLC testing

Every batch of every peptide we sell is tested by an independent third-party laboratory using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) before it's listed for sale. HPLC is the analytical standard for peptide purity verification — it separates the target peptide from synthesis by-products, residual solvents, and degradation fragments, and reports purity as a percentage of the chromatogram peak area.

What this means in practice:

  • Per-batch certificates of analysis (COAs) are made publicly available. You can review them in our COA library.
  • Batch numbers are traceable — the COA matches the lot you receive.
  • We don't list a product unless its COA is on file. If a batch doesn't meet our purity threshold, it isn't sold.

We list actual measured purity on our COAs — not marketing language pinned to every product regardless of what the chromatogram says. If a batch reports 97.8% purity, the COA will say 97.8%.

Independence matters: the lab that tests a batch should not be the lab that synthesised it. That's the point of independent verification.

Sourcing and quality controls

Optic Labs does not manufacture the peptides we sell. We hold a formal partnership with a research chemical manufacturer, and all products are sourced from third-party manufacturers that comply with applicable quality and legal standards. Every shipment we receive is logged, sampled, and held until the third-party HPLC report comes back within our acceptance threshold. Only then is the batch assigned a lot number and listed for sale.

Once stock is in our facility:

  • Temperature-protected storage — lyophilised peptides are held under conditions appropriate to the compound's stability profile.
  • FIFO rotation — first-in, first-out. You receive the freshest stock available, not back-of-the-shelf vials.
  • Tamper-evident packaging — every vial is sealed and shipped in protective, temperature-protected packaging suited to research compound transport.

Shipping and dispatch — Australian-domestic, Sydney-based

Orders are dispatched from our Sydney fulfilment facility via trusted carriers including Australia Post. Every order ships with tracking, sent to the email on the order at dispatch.

Returns, damaged orders, and customer support

We have a 30-day return policy. To be eligible for a return, items must be in the same condition received, unused, and in original packaging. Returns require prior approval — please contact us before sending anything back.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please inspect on receipt and contact us immediately so we can evaluate and make it right. If a parcel is delayed or appears lost, contact us after 7 business days and we'll work with the carrier to resolve it; confirmed lost shipments are replaced or refunded depending on stock availability.

Full terms in our Refund Policy.

Customer support is handled by a real person, not a bot. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 1–2 business days. The fastest channel is opticlabsau@gmail.com or our Contact page.

Research use only — what that means

Everything we sell is supplied strictly for in-vitro and laboratory research use. Our products are not therapeutic goods. They are not approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for human or animal use, and we make no medical, therapeutic, or cosmetic claims about any product on this site.

Where peptides are mentioned in published research — for example, in animal models, in cell-culture studies, or in clinical investigation — we describe what the literature reports. We do not advise on, recommend, or facilitate human consumption of any product we sell.

For TGA-sensitive compounds (including but not limited to Melanotan-2, PT-141, and other compounds with cosmetic-adjacent receptor activity), product information is framed around receptor and pathway research only. These products are sold for research and cosmetic-application research only, and are not sold for human consumption.

Buying from Optic Labs constitutes acknowledgement that the buyer:

  • Is 18 years of age or older.
  • Is purchasing for research purposes only — as a qualified researcher or on behalf of a registered laboratory, university, or research entity.
  • Holds appropriate capability to handle research compounds, and assumes all responsibility for compliance with applicable laws in their jurisdiction.

Where local regulations restrict supply or possession, those laws take precedence over anything on this site. Full terms in our Legal Notice and Terms of Service.

Why Australian-domestic supply matters

Importing research peptides from overseas — most often the United States, China, or parts of Europe — has historically been the path most Australian researchers have taken, and it comes with real costs: weeks of lead time, customs holds, no recourse if a shipment is seized or lost, opaque purity claims with no independent verification, and exchange-rate exposure on every order.

Sourcing domestically removes those frictions. Stock is here. Dispatch is next-business-day from a Sydney facility. The COA you can read on our site refers to the lot you actually receive. If something goes wrong, you're talking to a business operating under Australian Consumer Law, not chasing a refund across an ocean and a language barrier.

That's the case for buying from any reputable Australian supplier — not just us. We think it's the right case to make plainly.
